Art is not just a word, related to drawings, pictures, crafts, etc. Art is a form of an expression. Art can be observed innumerable spheres, including dances, music, etc.
In fact, calligraphy is also a form of an art only that includes the framing of handwriting.


The comprehension of art is elusive. Each time we use colours in a drawing, it draws a new dimension to it. Art can be made parallel to our life too. Each time we make a new step, our life gets a new twist.


Art can be displayed from a single sheet of paper, to the posters and graffiti. Each painting on it's own symbolises many different things. They include feelings love, triumph, defeat, happiness, sorrow, depression and loss of the beloved ones.


Art is a form of beauty and creativity. It has many forms. Since past few decades, it has made a new run, from it's primitive stage to the modernized one of today.


Art is a symbolism for the past life. It speaks for itself. The drawings on the walls of Ajanta cave, make the cave really special. It defines how our past would have been. Indians even used their art to show their dances and religions too.


Modern art is the reflection of the materialistic man of today. In contrast to it, the old forms of art reflected the cultures and traditions of the nation.


Sometimes, when a person goes short of words, the drawings reflect the mood. They are a notion to what the person wishes to convey.


Here's a very beautiful quote by Thomas Merton, which says :

“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time."
