PHOTOELECTRIC EFFECT --

When radiations with certain minimum frequency strike the surface of a metal, the electrons are ejected from the surface of the metal. this phenomenon is called 'photoelectric effect'.
The electrons emitted are called photoelectrons.

hope it helped ^_^

Photoelectric effect is given by a scientist name Hertz.

It states that when we expose a beam of light on a metal. Then some electrons were ejected from that metal. This phenomena is known as photoelectric effect.

Observations :-

* Electrons are ejected as soon as beam of light strikes the metal.

* To observe this phenomena minimum frequency is required which is known as threshold frequency.

* Number of electrons ejected is proportional to the brightness of light.

Hope it helps.
