area of one piece

s= (50 + 20 + 50)/2 = 120/2 = 60

√s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

= √60(60-50)(60-20)(60-50)

√60 x 10 x 40 x 10

= √6 x 10 x 10 x 4 x 10 x 10

= 200√6

area of 12 pieces = 12 x 200√6 = 2400√6

hey there ?!!

the triangle sides are given as (50, 20, 50 cm ) which means it is an isosceles ∆ .

now ,

we know that Lome drawn from the vertex of an isosceles triangle is perpendicularly to its opposite side .

so ,

height of the traingle = ab² + bo²

ac² = 50²+10²

ac² = 2500+100

ac² = 2600

ac = √2600 = 50.99...

now , area of ∆ = 1/2×b×h = 1/2 × 20×50.99

area of ∆ = 10×50.99 = 509.99cm²

now ,

area of umbrella = no. of triangular pieces × area if ∆

area of cloth to make umbrella = 12 × 509.99 = 6119.99 cm²

hence the area of the cloth stiching the
umbrella = 6119.99cm²

hope it helps !

be brainly ♥
