Hey!

If we consider a hemisphere is scooped out from cylinder.

Then it's total surface area will be

Curves surface area of cylinder +2*Total surface area of hemisphere

Curved surface area of cylinder=2*πrh
=439.82 cm^2

Curved surface area of hemisphere =2πr^2
= 2×π×3.5×3.5=76.96cm^2

so required surface area is =439.82+2×76.96
=593.74 cm^2

thanks !!

area of article=CSA of cylinder +2*csa of hemisphere

radius (r)=7/2cm

h(of cylinder)=20cm

c.s.a of cylender=2πrh
=2*(22/7)*(7/2)*20
=22*20
=440cm^2
radius of sphere=7/2cm
CSA of sphere=2πr^2
=2*(22/7)*(7/2)*(7/2)
=77cm^2
the area of article = CSA of cylinder +2*csa of hemisphere
=440+154
=594cm^2

 \purple{area \: of \: artile = 594cm^2}
