Answer 1:
Molarity = moles of solute/Volume of solution
So if we take 1 of HCL solution then 38% of it I.e 380 ml of HCL is present so Mass of HCL is :
density × volume = 1.19×380 = 452.2 gm
So moles of HCL is 452.2/36.5 = 12.38 mol
So molarity = 12.38/1 = 12.38 M
Answer 2:
Given V = 1l
M = 0.1 M
Thus moles = M × V = 0.1 mol
So Mass = 0.1×36.5 = 3.65
So volume is = mass/density
= 3.65/1.19 = 3.067 ml of HCl.
