  • Area of triangle  = √S(S - a ) (S - b ) (S - c ).

    Where,

 S = Semi perimeter.

And a , b , c are sides of triangle.

So .

  •  S = ( a+b+c)/2

             = (42 + 34 + 20 )/2 = 96/2 = 48 cm.

Area = √48 ( 48 - 42 ) (48 - 34 ) ( 48 - 20 )

        = √ 48 × 6 × 14 × 28

        = √ 112896 = 336 cm².

  • With the help of longer side

Area = 1/2 × Base × Height

        = 1/2 x 42 x Height

        = 21 × Height .

A/Q , 21 × Height = 336

⇒ Height = 336/21

∴ Height = 16 cm.
