SUN is present in space but then to space is black.. And our EARTH get's light even though it's far far away from Sun...

First point, space is black to your eyes. look in every wavelength in electromagnetic spectrum.

secondly, light from sun reaches us because it has enough energy that it remains in the visible range to human eyes but sunlight contains various mixtures of UV, X-rays etc. If energy decreases then it will be red shifted and you even not may be able to see it like space seems dark to you.

Explanation:

This is the image of the universe in radio frequency it doesn't seem as dark you are talking about, it's quite bright.
