The abundance of labour in the market affected the lives of the workers in the following ways :-

➡ The wages were low as the labour increased . Although the production increased , due to Napoleanic wars the economy was affected and hence hte wages again decreased .

➡ The work was known as seasonal work . Workers were made to work for a long period of time but then in the other season , there were absence of jobs .

➡ There was a problem with the settlement of the workers as they had no houses .

➡ The labourers had to look for odd-jobs when the season of work was over .

These were some of the problems faced by the labourers .
