Answer________________

(i). Modulation of index.

Modulation index for an AM wave is defined as the ratio of charge in the amplitude of the carrier wave to the amplitude of the original carrier wave.

(ii). find value of modulation index.

given,

Maximum amplitude, A max = 10V

Minimum amplitude, A min = 2V

So,

Modulation index,

u = ( A.max A.min / A.max + A.min )

according to formula,

( 10 – 2 / 10 + 2 ) = 8/12

we get,

modulation index = 0.66.

Answer:

(i). Modulation of index.

(ii). find value of modulation index.

given,

Maximum amplitude, A max

So,

Modulation index,

u = ( A.max – A.min / A.max + A.min )

( 10 – 2 / 10 + 2 ) = 8/12

we get,

modulation index = 0.66.
