Answer: 1. (A) 3 m/s

              2. (A,B,C,D)

Explanation: 1. speed= d/t

 2.              Given, x=αt2 −βt3

 Particle will return to its starting point when x=αt2  −βt3 =0

or,

 t=  α /β

Velocity=v=  dx /dt

                =2tα−3βt2   .....(1)

at t=0,v=0so the initial velocity zero.

Acceleration=a=  dv /dt

                        =2α−6tβ.....(2)

at t=0,a=2α so initial acceleration does not zero.

The particle will come to rest when, 2tα−3βt2  =0  from (1)

or,t=  2α /3β

At,t= α / 3β   ,a=2α−6β (  α /3β )=0

so net force= ma = 0 , thus no net force act on the particle when t=  α /3β

Hope it helps dear friend and thanks for putting forward this question!!
