1.The region towards the North, East and South of the Tropical Desert zone running from Southern Punjab, Haryana and, Western Uttar Pradesh to Gird and Malwa regions in Western Madhya Pradesh and eastern fringes of Rajasthan and from there onwards to the Central Gujarat and Kathiawar regions of Gujarat state experience .

2.Some of the tributaries of Ganga or the Ganges joining the basin are the Ghaghra, the Son, the Gandhak, the Chambal, and the Kosi. The tributaries of the Brahmaputra joining the basin are Teesta and Meghna. Ganga and Brahmaputra rivers originate from the Himalayas.

3.Presence in India : Royal Bengal Tigers are easily found in the jungles of West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Rajasthan, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. They are also spotted in some of the major National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries of India such as Corbett, Manas, Bandipur, Sariska, Kanha, Ranthambore and Sundarbans National Park.

4. It is located in Nainital district of Uttarakhand and was named after Jim Corbett who played a key role in its establishment.

5.Kaziranga National Park of Assam is home to 1,855 adult Indian rhinos and also host one of the highest density of Tigers in India. Kaziranga is a World Heritage Site and hosts two thirds of the world's great one horned rhinoceroses. The park also combines high species diversity and recognized as an important bird area.
