Explain the term osmosis diffusion, hypotonic, isotonic and hypertonic solution plz tell me the answers
Answers
Answer: osmosis: the transfer of substance from it higher concentration to lower concentration through a semipermeable membrane
Explanation:it happen in liquid (water) only
Here you go....
Answer:
Osmosis= It is the movement of water molicules from a high concentrated area to a low water concentrated area through a semi- permiable membrane.
Diffusion= it is the movement of molecules from higher concentration to lower concentration ,through any medium.
Hypotonic= is any solution that has a lower osmotic pressure than another solution. In the biological fields, this generally refers to a solution that has less solute and more water than another solution.
Isotonic= refers to two solutions having the same osmotic pressure across a semipermeable membrane. This state allows for the free movement of water across the membrane without changing the concentration of solutes on either side.
Hypertonic= is a particular type of solution that has a greater concentration of solutes on the outside of a cell when compared with the inside of a cell.
