Miss. Sullivan take Helen to by the hand across the field where men were preparing the Earth for seed, to the bank of the Tennesse River.
Helen learnt how the sun and rain make the ground give life to trees that are not only pleasnt to the sight but also good for food.
As Helen's knowledge of these things grew, she felt more and more delighted to the worldshe lived in.

At first,Miss Sullivan had a very hard time . Helen was naughty and disobedient. Miss Sullivan remained calm,firm and patient. She knew what terrible handicaps Helen had to struggle against. Soon after she arrived,she gave Helen a beautiful doll
