Heyy mate...

Que:-

Two Dice are thrown at the Same time and the product of number appearing on them is noted.

Then Find the probability that the product is a prime Number.

Maximum outcomes will be ;- 36

Possible outcomes as the product of prime Number ;- (1,2) , (1,3) , (1,5), (5,1), (3,1), (2,1)

So,,

Probability of getting product of prime Number

6/36= 1/6 answer

☆ Total Number of Possible Outcome = 6 × 6

=> 36.. The Observation are;

[ (1,1) (1,2)(1,3)(1,4)(1,5),(1,6)

(3,1)(3,2)(3,3),(3,4),(3,5)(3,6)
(4,1)(4,2)(4,3),(4,4)(4,5)(4,6)

(6,1)(6,2)(6,3)(6,4)(6,6)]

For The Favourable Outcomes it has to be the prime number, so

=> (1,2)(2,1)(1,3)(3,1)(5,1)(1,5)

=> Favourable Outcomes = 6.

Therefore,

Probability of getting the product of prime Number = Favourable Outcomes/ Total Outcome

=> P = 6/36

=> Probability = 1/6
