Annyeonghaseyo Samyakk oppa!!

FRAGMENTATION: 1. An organism is split into fragments and each fragment grows into complete individual organism. So it is a systematic process occurred in a specific moment in a life span during reproduction . Eg. Spirogyra sp.

2. It occurs in multi cellular organisms with simple body organization.

3. In this case an organism breaks into pieces and each piece develops into new individual.

4. No specified cells are involved in fragmentation .

5. It is always a method of asexual reproduction.

REGENERATION: 1. Regeneration is the simple process of regrowth generally occurred due to some accident ie. damaging event. In this case organism allows partial ( when not related to reproduction eg. Regeneration of tail in Lizard ) or complete ( when related to reproduction eg. Planaria sp. , starfish etc.) regrowth of tissue.

2. Regeneration occurs in fully differentiated multi cellular organisms with complex body organization.

3. In this process organism if breaks into pieces each piece may or may not develop into new individual.

4. Specialised cells proliferate and form a mass of cells. The cells from the mass differentiate to form different cell types and tissues.

5. It may or may not be a method of reproduction (depending on the organism and situation

Answer:

Fragmentation occurs when an organism literally breaks off from itself. The broken fragments of the organism grow into individual separate organisms. On the other hand, reproduction is a form of asexual reproduction where the organism is capable of regrowing certain parts of it's body when it loses them.
