What is nictitating membrane....... well it's a good question
Ever looked at your self in front of a
mirror...,......... yes?
Ever looked carefully at your eyes ?
Yes?
Well then you must have noticed a pinkish mass at the corner of your eyes..... noticed it..... that's good
Well that's the nictitating membrane.
It's function?
Well..... get surprised to know that it has no function at all.
Yeah bro it's a vestigial organ.
It earlier acted as a safety lid and protected the eyes of prehistoric humans from harsh weather conditions. But today.... it is completely functionless
That was your answer.....
Hope this helps.....
