"English - A privileged language for modern India"
By : Sushmita.

It has become a fact now that the English language is getting more superior and important language in a diversed country like India. India is a country having most number of languages like Hindi, Marathi, Gujarat, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu etc.. However, these days there's very less importance to these languages. We shouldn't neglect a thing that English is however a Britain language, rather a foreign one and it's getting a huge importance. In the older times, People used Hindi, and other languages more compared to English. There were few who used English and were known as superior and big people in India. We people never understood the importance of our language, our mother tongue which is getting neglected day by day.
Children who study in English medium are considered as a well children whereas there's no importance for the other medium schools like Hindi Medium. This is the current scenario in our country where English is getting a language that's respected more than the languages of our mother nation. As the new generation is developing and improving more, people refer studying English, French, German etc languages so that they can do further career out of India, and our India remains at the same back position.
It has become a strange fact that foreigners come to India to learn Hindi, Gujarati and other languages of our country more than the people of India.
Its a time when our languages are getting respected more by the foreigners compared to India, who still respect the language of mother nation.
Being a Indian citizen, it's our responsibility that the original mother language should be respected more than others Languages. Some people even judge people by their language. If that person can't speak good English, he is considered a low person who can move ahead. But this is not the fact, that's what we need to realize as soon as possible to take our nation to top.

Thank you.

Hope it helps
