Stomata are the small pores present on the surface of the leaves and they are surrounded by the guard cells.

The functions of stomata are ::-

1.) The main function of stomata is exchange of gases . Stomata takes in carbon dioxide to give out oxygen

2.) Stomata helps in photosynthesis .

3.) Loss of water from the stomata creates an upward pull, i.e., suction pull which helps in absorption of water from the roots through the xylem .

4.) Stomata can only regulate the loss of water through transpiration with the helps of guard cells

HOPE IT HELPS YOU!!

Function. The gas exchange that occurs when stomata are open facilitates photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process by which plants convert sunlight into usable energy. During photosynthesis, carbon dioxide is taken in from the atmosphere through the stomata and oxygen is released as a waste product
