When we find the value of the value of this variable we can sucstitute this value in original equation to find the value of the remaining variable..

This method is applicable for equation with two roots.. Such equations are called quadratic equation..

Ex...

If a + b = 3

& a - b = 5

2a. = 8

a = 4

Now substitute value of a in any one equation

Let me substitute it in first one

So, 4 + b = 3

Therefore b = -1
