Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born in the year 1630. He was the founder of the Maratha Empire and was a virtuous and brave King. He had great respect towards women and treated them with dignity. He fought the Mughals, Siddi, Adilshaha, Nizamshaha, Qutubshaha and Portuguese, to protect the people of his Kingdom. Maharashtra and some part of southern India was in his kingdom. He died in the year 1680 and later on the throne was taken by his eldest son Sambhaji Maharaj who was as brave and virtuous as him.
