Hey :D New Fellow !!

First of all :) Welcome to XI (Commerce Stream) and that too with majority of new subjects to be studied for the very first time.( Such as : Accounts , Economics and Bussiness Studies etc.) It would be same like learning alphabets in the kinder Garten. So being a new stream, It is important to equip the students with valuable tips to gain mastery over such new subjects and enhance their performances in the future examinations.

◆ Believe in Yourself : The first and foremost tip to believe in yourself ,If you think you can , you can and if you think you cannot, you can't. Always think “ I am the best, I will do the best I can”. Do not afraid of committing mistakes. But learn from your mistakes and try not to repeat them.

◆ Set Realistic Goals : Always remember that one who has the Goals makes the rules. A goal is a dream attached with a deadline which means once you lay down your goal say, e.g; To complete the chapter of admission of a partner or issue of shares or ratio analysis, then also attach the specific time period with it for its completion. This will save your time, energy and effort.

◆ Time Management : Always remember that killing time murders opportunities We should not waste time in just deciding when to study. Try studying late, as well as early and see the results and compare. Follow the schedule that gives you maximum result and satisfaction. But, avoid wasting time as we all know Time and Tide Waits for none.

◆ Be Positive : Don't regret for the time gone by; value the time available in present. Be optimist, hopeful and motivated to make best use of available time in future. Control negative thoughts at this simple way. Wear a loose rubberband on your wrist. Each time you think rengatice, snap the rubberband to tell yourself to ' STOP '.

◆ Avoid Distraction : In your way there may be many forces of distraction, but the greatest ones are your owns. You must better meditate on how to calm your thoughts down.

◆ Smart Work v/s Hard work : The need of hour is not hard work but smart work. Solving 100 questions with lack of concept clarity has no meaning. So once your concepts are clear and after solving all the questions, Identify a limited number of comprehensive questions which involve all concepts of a chapter and then start practising them again and again until the last day of exams.

◆ Apply FRT ( Fast Revision Technique) : Moving further and forgetting previous chapter is a common problem noticed amoung the students. As they move on to the next chapter or topic they tend to forget the previous chapter. At the end of the week a student must solve atleast 3-5 comprehensive questions from the previous chapters to enhance their speed, memory , and accuracy.

◆ Do Not Ignore Theory : Another important aspect to score good marks and even 100 percent in accounts or any other subject is theory. Keeping this facts in mind .

◆ Presentation ( Formats ) : specially , In Accountancy, be very particular about the preparation of Formats of Journal, ledger, Writing narrations etc. 25% of the marks will be deducted for not doing this.

◆ Start paper from easy to tough : Don't start the paper with the comprehensive question that needs to be tallied as it will consume your major time in case you don't get the answer. This will create panic and will affect the whole paper adversely.

◆ Think before Writing : Last but not the least, Write what is asked in the question not what you know and want. So, read the question from below also to know what is asked in the question.

Finally All the best For your examination.
Good luck :)

Step 1: Become self-aware

By Class 10, you have had enough time to know the subjects that you score well in and enjoy studying versus those that you dislike. It is important at this stage in your decision making to be conscious and aware about your strengths and weaknesses. A good place to start is by making a list of:

Subjects you would like to continue

Subjects you would like to discontinue and

Subjects you are confused or unsure of

For subjects you are confused about, you should ask yourself questions like:

Step 2: Take a Career Test

A Career Test is a great starting point. Verified Career Tests are scientifically designed to help you get insight into your personality, motivations, interests and areas of strength that would help you succeed in a potential career. They often include variables such as academic performance to give you a complete roadmap of what subjects you can choose today for a successful career in the future. Once you have done the assessment, you can get one-on-one counselling with a professional to help you plan your next steps.

COMMERCE STREAM

The Commerce stream consists of Business Studies, Economics, Accounts as core subjects and Mathematics is optional. Commerce students can choose electives from the Humanities stream and not from the Science stream. Commerce with Mathematics tends to be a popular choice among students interested in careers in Finance, Accounting, Investment Banking and Entrepreneurship among others. Students who choose Commerce cannot choose Science Stream for undergraduate studies in India. They can however, opt for Humanities subjects.

To gain good marks:-

Solving sample papers of Accountancy, Economics and Business studies, helps students to practice how to attempt paper in exam. Always try to give answers in points instead of giving in paragraphs. Give points and their sub-points in exams.

Spend 2 hours on each topics read thoroughly

ALL THE BEST BUDDY
