Hi friends please answer that what is rheostat and why it is being used in the circuit ??

A rheostat,also called variable resistor helps us to variate/change the amount of current flowing in a circuit.
It is used in a circuit basically when doing experiments,
As they help in variating the amount of current, we can record different values of V and R,when we change the value of rheostat.

U can see the experiments in ur lab manual and see it's uses
