A rectangular plot of land measures 41 metres in length and 22.5 metres in width. A boundary wall to metres high is built all around the plot at a distance of 1.5 m from the plot. Find the inner surface area of the boundary wall.

The wall is built 1.5 m from the plot so the length and width of wall will be

41 + 2(1.5) = 44m

22.5 + 2(1.5) = 25.5m.

TO FIND:-

Inner surface area of the boundary wall

PROOF:-

Inner area of wall

= 2h (l + b)

= 2 (2) (44 + 25.5)

= 278m^2

ANSWER:-

The inner surface area = 278m^2
