Divide the figure into 2 rectangles
Rectangle 1 and rectangle 2
Perimeter of rectangle 1=2(l+b)
=2(4+2)=10m
Area of rectangle 1=4X2=8m2

Perimeter of rectangle 2= 2(4+1.5)
=11m
Area of rectangle 2=4X1.5=6.5m2

Now perimeter of figure= perimeter of rectangle 1+ perimeter of rectangle 2
=10+11=21m
Area of figure = area of rectangle 1+ area of rectangle 2
=8+6.5=14.5m2
Hence solved.
