you just need to count the number of each element in each side of an equation

EX : H2 + O2 => H2O

you see that in the left side, we have : 2H, 2O but in the right side, we only have 2H and 1O so we need to double it by write the number to right before the H2O

     H2 + O2 => 2H2O

but you see there are 4H in the right side but there are only 2H in the left side so you double the H in the left side by adding number 2 before the H2

    2H2 + O2 => 2H2O

Thats how you balance an equation :)

Answer:

Hello Dear,

In general, to balance an equation:

1) Count the atoms of each element in the reactants and the products.

2) Use coefficients; place them in front of the compounds as needed.
