Step-by-step explanation:

4(i). p(x) = x + 3

For Zeros of this polynomial, p(x) = 0.

So, x + 3 = 0

x = -3

(ii) Similarly, g(x) = 3x - 2

g(x) = 0

3x - 2 = 0

x = 2/3

5(i) If y = 0 is the zero of the Polynomial p(y) = y², it'll satisfy, p(y) = 0 for y = 0.

So, p(y) = y²

Put, y = 0

p(0) = (0)² = 0.

So, yes it is the zero of the given polynomial p(y).

(ii) p(x) = 3x - π, for x = 1/3

p(x = 1/3) = 3(1/3) -π = 1 - π ≠ 0 (not equals to zero)

So, x = 1/3 is Not a zero of the given polynomial p(x).

(iii) p(x) = πx - 1, for x = 1/π

p(x = 1/π) = π(1/π) - 1 = 1 - 1 = 0

So, x = 1/π is a Zero of the given polynomial p(x).

(iv) g(y) = by + c, for y = -c/b

g(y = -c/b) = b(-c/b) + c = -c + c = 0

So, y = -c/b is a Zero of the Polynomial g(y).

<hope you understood it>

Thanks!
