Question 1:
The length and the breadth of a rectangle are 12 cm and 9 cm respectively.Find the height of a triangle whose base is 9 cm and whose area is one-third that of rectangle.

=> Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

Length = 12 cm

Breadth = 9cm

12cm×9cm = 180cm²

=> area of triangle = 1/3 of the area of rectangle

=1/3 ×180 = 36cm²

area of triangle = 1/2 base × height

36=1/2×9×height

Height = 8 cm
