Hi !
I came across a question --> Solve  \sqrt{2x-6} +  \sqrt{x+4} = 5
By using hit and trial, its easy, and answer will be 5. But I sat down to solve it and it came as :-
(x-5)(x-165) = 0 Can you explain why 165 is coming in the solution of the polynomial I expanded, but not as the answer? And if theres a mistake in my process, please tell me.

√(2x-6) + √(x+4) = 5
(x-5)(x-165) = 0
x = 5 & x = 165
answer is x = 5  because only x = 5 satisfy the given equation .
remember one things when you solve this type of problems just cross check putting the value of x.
