  • Example of collective noun such as "flock, team, crowd" are followed by singular verb.
  • Nouns such as news, economics and cards are plural but they are treated as singular.

  • If the noun is in plural form and shows amount, then it is followed by singular verb.

  • Words like "Everyone, somebody, nobody, anybody" will be also followed by singular verb.

  • Nouns like "spectacles, glasses, shoes, people" are always considered as plural form.

  • If the subject is plural then the verb will be in plural form.

  • If the subject is singular then the verb will be in singular form.
