OUR TRIP TO GOA, THE ROME OF THE EAST !
"Goa?!! you people are going on an educational tour to Goa?" .
"Don't you think it is not an ideal place for a school tour?". The ones who heard the news bombarded us with the usual questions. Some said it's best enjoyed by bachelors while others told it is a place for couples. Well, let me tell you, Goa offers you choices of places which can be enjoyed by a 5 year old to 55 year old equally. We all were eagerly looking forward to the momentous day, which which would see me and my travel loving friends embark on a trip to the lush and lovable Goa.Leaving behind the apprehensive looks of our family and our worries of the parents-teachers meeting of the previous day, there we're off to Goa!!!!! When we finally started our journey to the pearl of the orient, our happiness knew no bounds. We had the entire wagon booked just for us and it was a train journey filled with so much fun and excitement that we didn't feel tired at all. Nothing will ever be equal to the excitement on our morning faces when the escort teachers woke us up the next day to inform that we had to alight at the next station. And voila! we were breathing the Goan air. We reached the Madgaon station at 6 a.m, where 4 tourist buses were waiting for us. It took another couple of hours to reach our hotel, Alor Grande Holiday resorts. Even the casual journey from the station to the hotel proved to be captivating. Beautiful landscapes greeted us wherever we looked upon. Colourful houses dotted to the roadside showcasing the significant influence of the Portuguese in the lives of the Goans. Going further down the roads, the road was full of greenery and was not at all noisy. Scampering with our baggage, we set forth to the hotel. We had rooms allotted for us and then we headed straight for breakfast once we had secured our rooms and offloaded our luggage. And then we set off to explore Goa and jazz up to a fun filled day.
Beauty and beach! A trip to Goa has to start with the beaches. North Goan beaches stole the limelight, and so we progressed to Anjuna beach. The peaceful seashore provided a breathtaking view of the rocks that outlined the sand. It looked pretty good when the tide was high. After clicking few snaps, we proceeded to Vagator beach, one of the best beaches of Goa. It's quiet and calm, beautifully set amidst the cliffs with soft and white sand. After which we explored Fort Aguada which provided a panoramic and picturesque view of the Arabian sea. Being one of the most crowded beaches in Goa, it was warming with tourists. It was so much fun to be there. We played in water, ran around chasing each other and enjoyed the rest of the evening and we had our dinner at the hotel, where a DJ was arranged. We all enjoyed well and went to bed late ! Then next day morning, we had a hearty breakfast after which we went to river Cruise for a sail. And we explored a lot more which can't be just expressed by words! Their culture, traditional costume everything was adorable! I would say two days weren't enough for a beautiful and scenic place like Goa and it indeed passed away too quickly! After we reached our home everyone was soaked in the wonderful memories of the trip and we were immensely thankful to our principal for such an opportunity to undertake a beautiful tour to Goa.
Thank you
