hi I need urgently now
sulphur acts as reducing and oxidizing agent reactions... I want easy ones....

Hey mate here is ur answer.......

Oxidising ___

SO2 + 2H2S ---> 3S + 2H2O

Reducing____

SO2 + 2H2O ---> H2SO4 + 2H.

Hey...

Here is your answer...

Sulphur acting as reducing agent :

▶ SO2 + 2 H2O ==> H2SO4 + 2 H

Suphur Dioxide on adding gives Sulphuric acid with evolution of hydrogen gas.

Sulphur acting as oxidizing agent :

▶ SO2 + 2 H2S ==> 2 H2O + 3 S

Sulphur dioxide on treatment with hydrogen sulphide gives water and sulphur.
