India is. aland of festivals. The independence day is celebrated on 15 th August every year.On 15 th August, 1947 India became Independent.

every year we celebrate Independence Day in Delhi many people gather before red fort .our Prime Minister hoists the national flag and delivers speech .we listen to him on television. the Independence Day is celebrated with gaiety and joy .
in every school and at other public places national flag is hoisted. in our school also our principal has the national flag .then he delivers speech the principal ask us to follow the ideals of freedom fighters .sweets are distributed. some programmes are also take place .national anthem is sung in a group. later on we sing song and dance together...........
