Yes reduced platelet count is harmful for our health. Disease such as dengue, HIV +ve, leukemia, cancer treatments, alcohol abuse, cirrhocis in liver, enlargement of spleen etc can result in a reduced platelet count. When you don't have enough platelets in your blood, your body can't form clots. A low platelet count may also be called thrombocytopenia. For some, the symptoms can include severe bleeding and are possibly fatal if they're not treated

FOOD supplements to increase platelet count :-

clams

eggs

peanuts

kidney beans

oranges or orange juice

SYMPTOMS :-

1) Easy or excessive bruising (purpura)

2) Superficial bleeding into the skin that appears as a rash of pinpoint-sized reddish-purple spots (petechiae), usually on the lower legs.

3) Prolonged bleeding from cuts.

4) Bleeding from your gums or nose.

5) Blood in urine or stools

Mild Thrombocytopenia is not very dangerous but if went untreated then it can become severe and that is dangerous

Hope this helps dear!!
