Answer:

Question no (1)

find the length of diagonal of a square whose is 10 cm .

when we draw diagonal in triangle so we have to apply Pythagoras theorem ..

now apply ...

side of square are equal .. if side = a = 10 cm

(hypotenuse)^2 = a^2 + a^2

(hypotenuse)^2 = 2a^2

= 2 × 10 × 10

(hypotenuse)^2 = 200

(hypotenuse) = (√ 200 )^2

Hypotenuse = 10√2

here hypotenuse is diagonal ..

length \: of \: diagonal \:  = 10 \sqrt{2}

Question no (2)

a dealer buys a. wrist watch for Rs 225 and pencils Rs 15 on it repairs . if he sella the same Rs 300 find the profit / loss percent.

Here wrist watch Rs = 225

dealer gives 15 Rs on its repair

Total Rs = 225 + 15 = 240 Rs

selling price = 300

cost price = 240

profit \:  = \: s.p - c.p \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  = \: 300 - 240 \\   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: = \: 60 \: rupies \:

percentage of profit = profit × 100 / cost price

= 60 × 100/240

= 25

so the profit is 25 % .....

This is your answer.....

Thanks..
