The sum of two digit number is 15

let the number be xy,

then x + y = 15 ---------(1)

the original number will be 10x + y

reversed number will be 10y + x, which is greater than the original number by 9

so, 10x + y + 9 = 10y + x

10y + x - 10x - y = 9

9y - 9x = 9

y - x = 9/9

y - x = 1 ----------(2)

we have two equations now

x + y = 15 ---------(1)

y - x = 1 ----------(2)

comparing both the equations we will get the values of x and y

y = 1 + x, putting this value of x in equation (1)

1 + x + x = 15

2x = 14

x = 7

putting the value of x in (2)

y - 7 = 1

y = 8

hence our number is 78
