The purpose of humans on earth is to provide their spirits with lessons that can only be learned in a physical lifetime. That is why the Creator set in motion the forces that led to the existence of this earth.
There are many lessons, presented at increasing levels of difficulty as our spirits advance in the spirit world. They might be related to: family dynamics; other relationships; education & career; disability or illness; or any of the other challenges or opportunities that come our way.
A spirit chooses the lessons for each lifetime, and there are many of them, but it is a lesson of every lifetime that a spirit influence their human self to live by the four essential attitudes of Faith, Hope, Charity, and Love.Like other lessons, we are challenged to practice these attitudes under increasingly difficult circumstances.
