Secularism in India with the 42nd Amendment of the constitution of India enacted in 1976,the preamble to the constitution asserted that India in a sercular nation .However neither India cantituation nor its law define the releationship between religon and state.

Secularism means no religion to be considered as a state or country religion. The people should be free to choose their religion. Country or state cannot discriminate between people on the basis of religion. No religion should be given more importance than the other. We should be giving importance to every religion. As each religious books & gods teach us to love & respect other religion.
