Heya dear user !!!
Here is your answer,
================================
First of all what is pressure ?
Pressure : The force that is exerted on a surface per unit time.
================================
When we apply force in a direction perpendicular to a given surface area, we call it thrust.
================================
➡ High size buildings and dams have a wide base.
REASON :
⭐ To decrease pressure, of a given force, through an increase in the surface area over which the force acts.
⭐ So the bases of the high buildings and dams will be wide so the pressure will be less.
================================
Hope it helps.
