Firstly keep in mind the formula; Possibility= Desired Outcome/Number of total outcomes

see as the wheel is divided into 6 halves,

therefore probability of getting an even number is 1/2 or 3/6. 3= the number of even numbers there must be on the wheel. but we have only two even numbers. .

INFERENCE 1:thus we need one more even number

secondly it is stated that there are 4/6 prime numbers on the wheel that means 4 prime numbers but we have only 3 prime numbers.

INFERENCE2: we need one more prime number.

thus from inferences 1 and 2 we conclude that we need an even and prime number. as only one number is needed, therefore we must find one number that is even as well as prime.

we know that 2 is the only even prime number.

hence the answer is 2
