☆ During oct-Nov , movement of Sun towards the south, the monsoon trough or the low pressure trough over the northern plains becames weaker. This gradually get replaced by high pressure system.
- The retreat of monsoon is marked by clear skies and rise in temperature.
- Days are cool and pleasant.
- The land is moist.
> October heat is one of the highlighted feature of Retreating monsoon. Owing to the conditions of high temperature and humidity, the weather becames rather oppressive during the day.
> Tropical cyclones are often destructive. Delta's of Godavari, Krishna and the kaveri are frequently struck by cyclones.
