SIMPLE INTEREST = (P N R)/100

P = 40,000

N = 3 years

R = 15%

SO, INTEREST AT THE END OF 1ST YEAR

= ( 40,000 × 3 × 15 )/100

= ( 400 ×3 × 15)

= ( 1200×15)

= 18,000 Rupees.....

HOPE IT HELPS.....

Simple Interest I= 100/PNR

Here for first year,

P=Rs40,000

N=1year

R=15%

So, Interest at the end of 1st year I= 100

40,000×1×15

=Rs600, 000

And for second year,

P=Rs40,000+Rs600,000=Rs640,000

N=1year

R=15 %

I= 100

640,000×1×15

=Rs9,600,000

Hope it helps uh!
