Pola is a bull-worshipping festival celebrated by farmers. On the day of Pola, the farmers decorate and worship their bulls. Pola falls on the day of the Pithori Amavasya in the month of Shravana. It is celebrated throughout the state of Chhattisgarh, in the Hindu month of Shravan (that usually coincides August).
