Okay ...
If you have a old TV( I hope don't :p)
then if you brought a magnet ( it depends which magnet you are using)
Then when you turn on your TV the image will be ...

Your TV will be damaged due to a magnetic field around your TV
and when the magnet comes in contact the magnetic fields lines changed and I think the picture will not be shown
If you have a new TV, a LED ( I hope :))
Then nothing could be happen due to their diamagnetism properties
