Does - ve implies that the line is divided by any point externally in coordinate geometry

Which negative? Are you talking about the negative sign in the co ordinates? If it is so, then *it is not true that the line is divided externally.*

If you are talking about the ratio, then according to me, *ratio cannot have any negative sign*.
