the gardener wants to plant the trees on the boundary of the park so we need to find the perimeter of it.

l=120 m

b=90 m

perimeter=2(l+b)

=2(120+90)

=2×210

=420 m

now. the trees are to be planted at a distance of 3 m. so to find the no. of trees we have to divide the perimeter of the park with 3.

so, 420/3

=140

therefore, the gardener needs 140 saplings.

by the way ur writing is good. atleast better than mine.

hope this helps you...
