Let us begin the event by lighting the candle and by paying our respects to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. For this, I would like to invite our special esteemed guest tonight, Mr. Hafeez Contractor, on stage to do the honours.
Mr. Hafeez Contractor was born in 1950 and holds a diploma in Architecture from Mumbai and Graduate degree from Columbia University, New York. He did this on a TATA scholarship. He started his career as an apprentice and became a associate partner of the same firm. He was also a visiting faculty at the Academy of Architecture, Mumbai, between 1977 and 1980. He is a member of the Bombay heritage committee and Luyten's BUngalow review committee, New Delhi.
