If sum of two numbers is 55 and HCF & LCM of numbers are 5 & 120 respectively. Find the sum of reciprocals.

Remember:

LCM=Product of 2 numbers/HCF.

Let the 2 numbers be x and y.

x+y=55.................(1)

Now given:

120=xy/5

xy=120*5

=600.....................(2)

Sum of reciprocals

=1/x+1/y

=x+y/xy

From(1) and (2) we get:-

=55/600

=11/120
