A sphere is inscribed in a cylinder. Is the surface of the sphere equal to
the curved surface of the cylinder? If Yes, explain how?​

yes the surface of the sphere equal to curved surface area of the cylinder.

surface area of cylinder=2pi × r^2 ×h

h=diameter of cylinder/sphere

=2r

therefore surface area of cylinder=2×pi×r^2×2r

=4×pi×r^3

which is equal to the surface area of sphere that is 4×pi×r^3

hence proved

Yes, the surface area of the sphere is equal to the curved surface area of the cylinder.

Surface area=2πr²h

Now, h=2r

Therefore,

SA=4πr³

Which is equal.

Hence Proved.
