Telephone is invented by alexander graham bell .when he invented it he spoke to his wife.His wife name is hello. When ever he spoke to her he says hello first. As he is the inventor we thought it was the way to speak first in telephone.Gradually it became habituated to all.

You musT have noticed that whenever we call someone or meet someone we say hello.The history of this word is that as telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell.When he invented the phone he first called his wife whose name was itself 'Hello'.....This is the reason why we say hello.
