the Russian scientist Dmitri Mendeleev developed a periodic table of elements during 1869 to 1872.

He classified all 63 elements known at that time according to their atomic masses in increasing order.

On the basis on the findings, Mendeleev stated the following law "Properties of elements are periodic function of their atomic masses."

In 1913 A.D.,Henry Moseley revealed that atomic number is a more fundamental property of an element than its atomic masses.

hence he modified the Mendeleev's Periodic Table and arranged the elements in increasing order of their atomic number in Modern Periodic Table.

By this the law was stated "Properties of elements are periodic function of their atomic number."

This is the history of Modern Periodic Table.
